Over 5,000 runners & walkers entered this year’s It’s A Wonderful Run 5K and crossed the George Bailey Bridge on Saturday in Seneca Falls as part of the It’s A Wonderful Life Festival. The below video shows activities in downtown Seneca Falls in the afternoon and the popular 5K run/walk which begins at dusk when the actress who played Zu-Zu, Karolyn Grimes, says the famous words, “every time a bell rings, an angel gets their wings”. Over 4,000 runners and thousands more holiday revelers congregated in Seneca Falls, NY on Saturday for the It’s A Wonderful Life Weekend and the 8th Annual It’s A Wonderful Run 5K. Seneca Falls is believed to be the town that inspired Bedford Falls in the Frank Capra holiday classic movie “It’s a Wonderful Life”. This year marks the 70th Anniversary of the film’s release.
