Chris Lajewski talks Montezuma Audubon Center .::. Inside the FLX 2/2/18

It’s been an incredible winter for local conservationists and birders.

According to Montezuma Audubon Center Director Chris Lajewski, a record-breaking number of bald eagles were spotted just a few weeks ago. Beyond those bald eagle sightings, a number of snowy owl sightings have been recorded throughout the region.

Lajewski was in-studio on Friday talking about the development of conservation efforts over the winter, and how planning is crucial to their success in spring and summer months.

He also talked about some upcoming events for those interested in getting outdoors in February.
