We celebrate out second anniversary with Syracuse 200 winner Billy Dunn, and also catch up with Short Track Supernationals Champion Craig Hanson. Jeff Hachmann also stops in for a short Super DIRT Week recap.
This week, John Baumes and Steven Ovens are in studio to talk about NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series event at Eldora, and Mike Mahaney weighs in on his two-win weekend. Mahaney won the BD Motorsports-promoted Crazy 8s at I-88 Speedway in Afton, NY and held off Stewart Friesen in Sunday’s make-up feature at Utica-Rome.
This week, Jay Fish and Dean Reynolds fill in for John and Mike… and we welcome 16-year old Joe Trenca – the 2012 Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints Rookie of the Year – to the program to talk about driver safety and running a Mucci-owned 360. Then, Lyle DeVore – the GM of Lebanon Valley and Albany-Saratoga Speedways – comes in to share the inner workings of the track manager’s lifestyle. We finish up with Gil Tegg Jr., who talks about his motorcycle accident, and his new appreciation and list of goals as he returns to racing modifieds and late models.

Tony Stewart will be back at Canandaigua Motorsports Park July 16, the day before the Smoke will join Kasey Kahne in a sprint engagement at Fulton Speedway. The World of Outlaws Late Models will be at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on June 25. Black Rock races this SUnday afternoon, making up their rained-out Father’s Day show.

We also talk about the loss of Jason Leffler, who tragically lost his life in a 410 sprint car accident Wednesday night at Bridgeport in New Jersey.

He also discusses his position as a spokesman in the area for melanoma and cancer awareness.
Mike takes the week off to play baseball with Oswego, and Jay Fish of the Dirt Motorsports Northeast Hall of Fame returns as a guest host. We also have on the line DIRTcar NE Marketing Director Jeff Hachmann, and 2012 Patriot Sprint Tour Champion Scott Kruetter.
Matt Tanner stops by for his first 31st Lap visit to discuss the upcoming Empire Super Sprints event, scheduled for Saturday April 6 at Selinsgrove Speedway. We also get into it over Tyler Walker’s rumored full time ride in the wake of his alleged drug problems and conflicts.
