This week, we wrap up our Thanksgiving racing activities, and discuss Anthony Perrego’s win in Accord Speedway’s Gobbler and then catch up with Dave Darland to talk about his win in the Turkey Night Grand Prix.

Episode 53 ..::.. Cobra Strikes Again

This week, we catch up with newly-crowned Empire Super Sprints Champion Chuck Hebing to recap the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints 2012 season, and then we chat with National Parts Peddler’s Corky Stockham about the NPP show, opening Friday at noon on the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse. The 31st Lap will be doing a live remote there Saturday in the Finish Line Web Design booth from 3-4:30 pm.

Episode 52 ..::.. Three-Peat

We catch up with Matt Sheppard and talk about his third consecutive Mr. DIRTcar Modified Championship. Sheppard stands as the first driver to ever win three straight Mr. DIRTcar Modified titles. He also reveals plans to race at Black Rock Speedway between Friday’s Canandaigua Motorsports Park banquet and the DIRTcar Northeast banquet Saturday night.

We also preview our live appearance scheduled for Nov. 17 at the National Parts Peddler Trade Show at the New York State Fairgrounds, and interview NPP owner Corky Stockham.

Mike Mallet makes a ‘guest appearance’ along with Baumes. Jeremie Corcoran comes in to talk about Tony Stewart’s scheduled appearance at Canandaigua Motorsports Park Aug. 11, and Daryl Hilkert and A.J. Lloyd talk about their weekly battles at Canandaigua. We also talk about the accident at the Wade Decker Memorial.

In a twist, Justin Henderson joins Dean Reynolds in studio while Mike Mallett and John Baumes are off chasing racecars. Rich was out at a Soccer game. We visit with John Lazore of Mohawk International, Lance Yonge (2003, 04 ESS Champion), and Oswego two-seat SuperModified coordinator Roy Sova.

Lance Yonge
Lance won the last sanctioned race at Rolling Wheels, and is currently tied with Mal Lane for third with 36 career ESS wins. He’s looking forward to the July 3 event at Rolling Wheels, running in conjunction with the Tom Ames Dedication to Racing full-fendered event.

John Lazore talks about the challenges of renovating and running a racetrack, and discusses a different approach to promotions, being a former driver himself.

Roy Sova discusses the two-seater, and the Make A Wish program that will be working with an area youngster this weekend.

Larry Wight was schedule, but after a tough outing with the Late Model, we could not reach him and hope to get with him down the line.
