This week, we turn our focus to the RC World. We will talk with Steve Salvas, race director at DirtCar Drummond, Granby and RPM Autodrome in Quebec, about the Salvas MudBoss racing division. The division is a new class that is taking shape at the Radio Hill Raceway in Dundee. It’s also a division at a few tracks in Pennsylvania, and Indiana. The eye-catching cars are based off the affordable Traxxas Slash 2WD cars, and Dan Pilat – among others – is wrapping the cars in vinyl to match several of DIRTcar and the northeast Modified scene’s top drivers. His brother, Eric Salvas, started the division and they each run the design for CustomWorks R. That company is owned by Tony Stewart, and features NASCAR-type RC cars.
