CrossFit Submerged in Penn Yan, NY began with a group of people who wanted to continue their journey in fitness and wellness. Meet Stacie Youngs, co-owner and trainer, along with CrossFit athlete Megan Peter on this edition of Weber This Week. They have established a CrossFit gym that is a family and community, made up of individuals that want to be the best versions of themselves. They have created an atmosphere where everyone is welcomed and encouraged on their journey, no matter what step they are on.
Dr. Kingsley Kabari joins Harold Weber to talk about his amazing journey from Nigeria to the United States and how he worked to put himself through school before settling in Seneca Falls and establishing his career.
Kingsley has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as a Personal Trainer. He is Kinesio taping certified (CKTP) and a candidate for Doctor of Chiropractic Care Program at NYCC. He has experience working in health and fitness including working as a personal trainer, fitness instructor, fitness coach, rehabilitation, intern as a cardiac rehabilitation specialist, motivational speaker, TA and tutored many classes at Plymouth State University. Kingsley specializes in working with athletes, the general fitness population, and also those with special limitations and health conditions.
Breast cancer survivor Sue Welch is in studio to talk about how she became cancer free without chemotherapy and, after being struck by a truck, became a practitioner of the stretch zone method of healing and staying fit.
This week, Carrie Bradford, owner, of Art of Life Pilates in downtown Waterloo joins us in-studio. Join Amanda and Tiffany as they pick Carrie’s brain on the benefits of Pilates and a little history too. Not to mention, Carrie demonstrates some of the movements you would see in her class.
