This week, we catch up with 15-year old William Byron, a US Legends Cars racer from down in Charlotte who has amassed a remarkable resume after cutting his teeth with iRacing. After that, we chat with Jeff Hachmann and Jay Fish of the Dirt Motorsports Hall of Fame about next week’s Hall of Fame inductions in Weedsport June 4 and the Hall of Fame 60 at Rolling Wheels Wednesday June 5.
Ray Hendershot, winner of the New Legends Sportsman feature at Canandaigua Motorsports Park joins us in studio and talks about his time racing at Candandaigua in the 1970s, and his return to racing this season. He also discusses his position as a spokesman in the area for melanoma and cancer awareness.
Mike takes the week off to play baseball with Oswego, and Jay Fish of the Dirt Motorsports Northeast Hall of Fame returns as a guest host. We also have on the line DIRTcar NE Marketing Director Jeff Hachmann, and 2012 Patriot Sprint Tour Champion Scott Kruetter.
For the first time, Bryan Clauson visits the 31st Lap, discussing his 2012 season and 2013 plans on the National Wingless Sprints stage. Clauson currently sits third in USAC’s National Sprint Standings. Clauson ran in the Indy 500 last year and currently drives for Tony Stewart Racing.
WE also look at the action from the past weekend, and ahead to a weather-plagued racing schedule. Fulton has already cancelled their Methanol Meltdown program for Saturday.
