Mynderse Academy sophomore Grace Lando will be in-studio on this week’s edition of FLX Weekly on FingerLakes1.com. Grace recently had her artwork selected by First Lady Melania Trump to represent all of New York State for an art show in Washington D.C. that will be hosted by the White House. Grace will join Sydney Rogers and Jim Sinicropi to talk about her art, growing up in the birthplace of Women’s Rights. Then, we’ll share some great local photos from the past week and look ahead to the last weekend of July in the Finger Lakes.
The Mynderse Academy Class of 2020 has endured a senior year unlike any other. On Friday night, on Bracht Field in Seneca Falls, they will graduate during a commencement ceremony unlike any other. The entire ceremony will be conducted in 2 sessions, the first at 6:00 pm, and the second at 7:15 pm. You can watch both sessions live on FingerLakes1.com in the player below.

The Class of 2019 includes lifetime contributor Robert McKeveny, Michael Anderson (1986), Michael Bullis (1970), Bill Caraher (1975), Bill Moody (1972, David Farney (1972) and the 2003 Blue Devil Tennis Team.

The inductees exemplify Mynderse Academy’s commitment to athletic excellence, qualities of leadership, and sportsmanship. Through recognition, our inductees and their families will be reconnected with the Seneca Falls community providing current student athletes with a deeper understanding and appreciation for the history of Mynderse Academy athletics.
The Mynderse Academy girls lacrosse team just concluded the most successful season in their program’s history. Head Coach Corey Foster is in-studio with captains Regan Fleming, Caitlyn Korzeniewski, Sadie Bonetti and Jordan Howell to talk about their 2019 campaign and the growth of the Lady Blue Devils’ program.
Mynderse Academy senior C.J. Zerniak & eight-grader Brody Herron recently qualified to represent New York State in the 2019 BASS High School National Championship on Kentucky Lake in Paris, TN this summer. Both anglers are in-studio to talk about their sport, how the qualified for the national tournament and their preparation for the event coming up in August.
Five members of the Mynderse Academy wrestling team will be in-studio with Harold Weber to talk about their seasons, sectional championships and Trent Youngs’s trip to the NYSPHSAA meet. A Monday night high school basketball doubleheader from Seneca Falls will featured a Finger Lakes East girls varsity match-up followed by an intriguing East-West boys cross-over game. First, the league leading Midlakes Lady Screaming Eagles take on the Mynderse Lady Blue Devils. Then, Finger Lakes West leadeing Marcus Whitman brings their 12 game winning stream into Mynderse to take on the Blue Devils. Jim Sinicropi, Mike Alessio and Matt Verkey have the call for FL1 Sports.
Put your holiday planning on hold because the hot ticket is at Waterloo High School this evening as the Mynderse Academy girls & boys basketball teams take on Waterloo in a varsity night doubleheader and the best seat in the house is in front of your internet enabled television, your tablet, phone or desktop computer watch FL1 Sports live stream. The Mynderse and Waterloo girls team renew their rivalry at 6:00 pm followed by the boys at 7:45 pm. The Mynderse boys have defeated Waterloo 22 consecutive times dating back to 2007 but Waterloo is riding high after a big win at Newark on Tuesday. The 2018 Mynderse Academy Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be conducted on Sunday, October 7th at the New York Chiropractic College.
