This week, after a flurry of racing activity left us guest-less, we take a week from the hustle and hurry to enjoy a free-form Thursday, take questions from the live chat, and celebrate our new marketing partners, D’Amico Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram in Geneva, NY. Tony Stewart will be back at Canandaigua Motorsports Park July 16, the day before the Smoke will join Kasey Kahne in a sprint engagement at Fulton Speedway. The World of Outlaws Late Models will be at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on June 25. Black Rock races this SUnday afternoon, making up their rained-out Father’s Day show.
The historic car dealership will be part of the 31st Lap family for a calendar year starting with the first episode of July. Look for more news and information, and some revamped overlays and graphics on the upcoming podcasts!
This week, Chris and Rich welcome by phone Australian-born Modified star Peter Britten to the program, and then chat with Canadian Mat Williamson about the opening races of the 358-Modified Super DIRTcar Series, at Cornwall Ontario Speedway and then Merrittville Speedway May 19 and 20.
Mike takes the week off to play baseball with Oswego, Jay Fish of the Dirt Motorsports Northeast Hall of Fame stops in to welcome Rich back to the show, and John remains grumpy as ever. Kevin Ridley pops in to talk about his win in the sportsman division at Canandaigua Motorsports Park, the competition in the division and we take questions and comments from the live chat about who is and isn’t in the Hall of Fame.
For the first time, Bryan Clauson visits the 31st Lap, discussing his 2012 season and 2013 plans on the National Wingless Sprints stage. Clauson currently sits third in USAC’s National Sprint Standings. Clauson ran in the Indy 500 last year and currently drives for Tony Stewart Racing.
WE also look at the action from the past weekend, and ahead to a weather-plagued racing schedule. Fulton has already cancelled their Methanol Meltdown program for Saturday.
