Episode 27 ..::.. ‘Tis The Season

We go a little off the beaten path in this episode, visiting first with Mike Welch, a storied stock division racer with many Canandaigua Motorsports Park accolades to his credit before chatting with Ryan DeLong, the winner of the first derby Chris went to this season. We also break some major news for the 31st Lap:
Finish Line Web Design will be presenting the podcast over the next several weeks, and will also be a primary supporter in helping us make our on-track debut when we do our first ’31st Lap Live’ remote pre- and post-race shows on location at one of the major racing events later this month.

We’re also proud to announce World of Outlaws star Joey Saldana will be joining us next week.

Due to a rained-out baseball game, Mike could not join us, but we anticipate his return next week for the Joey Saldana interview and more announcements regarding ‘The 31st Lap Live.’

Episode 24 ..::.. Winged Wonders

Larry Wight and Steve Poirier stop by to discuss the Methanol Meltdown and their plans for the 2012 season, we catch up on our Fantasy Racing teams with DickDragonMotorsports, we discuss Jarrett Andretti’s upcoming test session at Oswego Speedway and Davey Hamilton’s plans to race the Oswego Opener.

Also in Episode 24:

Dean Reynolds can’t let a sprint car discussion pass without chiming in, and becomes our second official spontaneous call-in (and helps spike our online viewership in the process).

We lose ourselves talking about the wonders of rental go-kart racing and the potential 31st Lap Outing at a local kart racing joint.

We also discuss a new ‘your topics’ segment… and need our listener’s input on Facebook.

Above all, we express our condolences to the family of Tom Ames, who passed away unexpectedly in a tragic car accident last week. Tom and Mike were friends way back in the Fire on Dirt days of Dirt Track Digest.
