Stewart Friesen celebrates his fourth career sprint car victory on the air following his $7,000 win in the Cole Cup at Utica Rome Speedway. Dan Creeden and DIRTcar NE Director of Marketing Jeff Hachmann also stop in for quick visits, and we discuss the intentions of NASCAR’s MWR team in the regular season finale.
This week, Jay Fish and Dean Reynolds fill in for John and Mike… and we welcome 16-year old Joe Trenca – the 2012 Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints Rookie of the Year – to the program to talk about driver safety and running a Mucci-owned 360. This week, Chris and Rich welcome by phone Australian-born Modified star Peter Britten to the program, and then chat with Canadian Mat Williamson about the opening races of the 358-Modified Super DIRTcar Series, at Cornwall Ontario Speedway and then Merrittville Speedway May 19 and 20.
Ray Hendershot, winner of the New Legends Sportsman feature at Canandaigua Motorsports Park joins us in studio and talks about his time racing at Candandaigua in the 1970s, and his return to racing this season. He also discusses his position as a spokesman in the area for melanoma and cancer awareness.
