On our first outing of the season, we are welcomed to the Seneca Lake Duck Hunter’s Association in Penn Yan.
We fought up hill to start, but enjoyed the company of Empire Super Sprints’ Dean Reynolds and Lance Yonge, got the update from down in Volusia from DIRTcar’s Jeff Hachmann, talked scheduling with Black Rock Speedway owner Dean Hoag, chatted about the BRP Can-Am Late Models with Gary Montgomery, discussed racing history with Bob Miller, and his new historical dvd. We also caught up with Johnny Moravec and his racing career, then met up with Creekside Entertainment about their DJ Services.
We talk with John Keegan about the upcoming New York State Stock Car Association Hall of Fame inductions, featuring Walt Mitchell and then Oswego Speedway’s Dan Kapuscinski discusses social media and the joys of working close to home after being on the road. We also broke some news on Tucker Hibbert and his visit to the 31st lap next week.
Doug Zupan, an asphalt modified nut, weighs in on Richie Evans’ pending induction in NASCAR’s Hall of Fame. John Beaumes helps recap Kevin Swindell’s win in the storied Chili Bowl, and we discuss our own vices (off-season racing parties and racing video games).
