One of the best local rivalries in girls high school basketball renews on Wednesday night in Ovid as the Romulus Warriors invade the Jack Guinan Gymnasium to take on the South Seneca Falcons. Both programs have brought state championships back to the south end of Seneca County in the past decade and try to enter this year’s Sectional playoffs with momentum. South Seneca Lady Falcons vs Romulus Lady Warriors .::. FL1 Sports 1/19/17

The South Seneca and Romulus girls basketball programs have been the class of the Wayne-Finger Lakes in recent years. Both have captured New York State titles, Romulus in 2014 (Class D) and South Seneca in 2016 (Class C). Currently, the defending state champion Lady Falcons are ranked 1st in NYS in Class C by the New York State Sportswriters Association. The Lady Warriors are currently ranked 4th in Class D. Neighboring South Seneca and Romulus has always been an intense rivalry on the hardwood and that rivalry was renewed on Thursday night in Romulus.
