At Grandview, Duane Howard flipped in his heat race, and started 27th. He rallied to finish 2nd, and wrapped up the track title and the American Racer Cup, his second in three seasons.

Sept 10 at 11:30 am, the DIRTcar Modifieds will parade through Syracuse, starting at Destiny USA as prep for Super DIRT Week.

Josh Decker stops in to talk about his first career derby win in Fulton, Jeff Hachmann of DIRTcar stops in for a chat about Super DIRT Week, we announce our Super DIRT Week plans and J.J. Yeley stops in for his second time through the 31st Lap. Stuntman Chris Morena and Mr. Sprint Car Champion Kyle Larson also makes some time for us.

Episode 39 ..::.. What Lies Ahead

This week, we welcome Betty Sherwood of the Spaulding Foundation for Injured Drivers to the 31st Lap to talk a little bit about the plight of race drivers and what lies ahead for them if injured. Beth also talks about an upcoming fundraiser regarding for the Spaulding Foundation in Watkins Glen.

Mike Payne drops in by phone to talk about the season as owner of the successful No. 27J driven by Danny Johnson on the DIRTcar Circuit and at Canandaigua Motorsports Park.

We also catch up with Jamie St. Mary, a member of the reknown PowerTeam in northern NY as he prepares for the upcoming Franklin County Fair in Malone, NY. There will be a full-size derby up there on Saturday August 4.
