Tons of derby talk from different parts of the country tonight! Candice Jo looks ahead to the Championship Finale for Domination Motorsports in Hawarden, Iowa and then talks about Blizzard Bash 2018 in Topeka, KS. Then, we catch up with Justin “CountryBoy” Smith about the Paige Valley and Shenandoah Co. Fairs in Luray and Woodstock, VA before talking with David Diver, who is on to promote the upcoming Hillbilly Heaven Derby and Cook Off Sept. 15 in Lisbon, OH.
We catch up with Mark Wolfe, who just finished his car for Tuesday night at the Shenandoah Co. Fair, and it will run in the fall at Chaos in the Valley. And probably every single show there after… It’s a hard car.
We turn things to the conversation of small cars again to close out February; Guy Raymond returns for his second visit to the studio while we welcome Shenandoah County Tuesday Night Champion Greg Alger and then NY State Champion Andrew Vona on the DerbyParts.com hotline.
We also break news about the budding Alternate State Championship program planned for all-comers, paying $1,500-to-win minimum to four- and six-cylinder drivers Sept. 13 2014 at Weedsport Speedway. Brian Sipple is promoting the event.
This week, we head south of the Mason-Dixon Line to catch up with two derbiers in Woodstock, Virginia. First, we talk with 2013 Monday Night Champion Shaun Gochenour, and then we catch up with hard-driving Mark Wolfe, also from Woodstock and a fellow ShenCo Fair competitor and past champion.
