A short, midweek recap of the racing action on a Wednesday Night!
Dan Cohen offers a field report on the USAC Eastern Storm live from New Egypt Speedway in New Egypt, NJ and then we catch up with Dan Harpell following the cancellation of the RoC Dirt Series event at Yates County Speedway.
This week, Jay Fish and Dean Reynolds fill in for John and Mike… and we welcome 16-year old Joe Trenca – the 2012 Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints Rookie of the Year – to the program to talk about driver safety and running a Mucci-owned 360. Then, Lyle DeVore – the GM of Lebanon Valley and Albany-Saratoga Speedways – comes in to share the inner workings of the track manager’s lifestyle. We finish up with Gil Tegg Jr., who talks about his motorcycle accident, and his new appreciation and list of goals as he returns to racing modifieds and late models.
This week, after a flurry of racing activity left us guest-less, we take a week from the hustle and hurry to enjoy a free-form Thursday, take questions from the live chat, and celebrate our new marketing partners, D’Amico Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram in Geneva, NY. Tony Stewart will be back at Canandaigua Motorsports Park July 16, the day before the Smoke will join Kasey Kahne in a sprint engagement at Fulton Speedway. The World of Outlaws Late Models will be at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on June 25. Black Rock races this SUnday afternoon, making up their rained-out Father’s Day show.
The historic car dealership will be part of the 31st Lap family for a calendar year starting with the first episode of July. Look for more news and information, and some revamped overlays and graphics on the upcoming podcasts!
