Stewart Friesen celebrates his fourth career sprint car victory on the air following his $7,000 win in the Cole Cup at Utica Rome Speedway. Dan Creeden and DIRTcar NE Director of Marketing Jeff Hachmann also stop in for quick visits, and we discuss the intentions of NASCAR’s MWR team in the regular season finale.
For the first time, Doug Manmiller visits the 31st Lap, and Dirt Motorsports Hall of Fame photographer and longtime friend of the show Jay Fish stops in for a live appearance. We also chat about our favorite tracks in and around the northeast, and career race/track/state counts.
This week, we catch up with newly-crowned Empire Super Sprints Champion Chuck Hebing to recap the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints 2012 season, and then we chat with National Parts Peddler’s Corky Stockham about the NPP show, opening Friday at noon on the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse. The 31st Lap will be doing a live remote there Saturday in the Finish Line Web Design booth from 3-4:30 pm.
We catch up with Matt Sheppard and talk about his third consecutive Mr. DIRTcar Modified Championship. Sheppard stands as the first driver to ever win three straight Mr. DIRTcar Modified titles. He also reveals plans to race at Black Rock Speedway between Friday’s Canandaigua Motorsports Park banquet and the DIRTcar Northeast banquet Saturday night.
We also preview our live appearance scheduled for Nov. 17 at the National Parts Peddler Trade Show at the New York State Fairgrounds, and interview NPP owner Corky Stockham.
