We look back at the SanFilippo Smash, held last Saturday at the Otsego County Fairgrounds (Morris, NY) with Spinning Wheels’ Jeremy Gulley. We then look ahead locally to the annual fall clean up event hosted by the Ellisons, at Geneva’s Paradise Speedway (10/19/19).
We dedicate this episode to Russ Clark, of Smash It Demolition Derbies, who passed last week. Russ will be missed.
Local standout Tim Ellison broke through in a huge way, winning nearly every feature event he entered during the week at our hometown Seneca County Fair in Waterloo, NY. Ellison won three of six features, and took second in two others in the most successful week at the fair in recent memory. Kayla Peterman won the chain and go event, where Ellison was second, and Toby Wise won the Figure 8 feature. Kale Wilkins won the Junk Run.
Tim and Wayne Ellison join us in studio to talk about the upcoming Derby Swap Meet (March 16) at Paradise Speedway in Geneva, NY. Then we shift gears to Ty Michalek, who is getting ready for a run at Capital City Carnage in Topeka next weekend.
We return to the air with a look back at the Seneca County Fair, and all the pageantry that comes with our own hometown derby. We also take a peek at the action promoted by Jordan Rutherford tonight and Stirrin Dirt’s Wastch Wipeout later this week, and look ahead to what’s to come in the Finger Lakes this month.
This week, Team Tinker Toys Kyle Wilkins and Kale Wilkins joins teammate Tim Ellison and rival Josh Decker in studio. At the halfway point, Sam Williams – the promoter of Blizzard Bash in Topeka Kansas – comes on the program to discuss the show and having Crash Course air live in November.
