Wayne Eagles vs. Geneva Panthers .::. Finger Lakes East Boys Basketball on FL1 Sports 1/29/19

The Wayne Eagles invade the Panther Den to take on the Geneva Panthers is a key late-season Finger Lakes East boys varsity basketball match-up. With a win, the two-time defending Section V Class A2 Eagles will have a virtual lock on the league title. Geneva, enjoying their beast season since 2014, a win would secure key sectional points while pulling the Panthers within a half-game of Wayne at the top of the East. Just a half game separates the first place Wayne Eagles with the Newark Reds who visit Ontario to take on Logan Blankenberg, Nick Carmichael and Billy Thompson in a key Finger Lakes East showdown on Tuesday night. Jim Sinicropi and Tane Robinson have the call for FL1 Sports starting at 7:30 pm.

The two-time defending Section V Class A2 Champion Wayne Eagles travel to Seneca County to take on the Waterloo Indians in an early season Finger Lakes East match-up. Waterloo comes in hot winning their last three. Meanwhile, Wayne looks to prove they’re the team to beat in the East. Jim Sinicropi and Kevin Sharp have the call for FL1 Sports beginning shortly before 7:30 pm.

Lyons vs. Northstar & Wayne vs. Irondequoit .::. Section V State Qualifier Doubleheader on FL1 Sports 3/7/18

On Wednesday night at Rush-Henrietta, FL1 Sports presented a doubleheader featuring the Section V Class C State Play-In Game between Lyons and Northstar Christian followed by the Class A Play-In Game between Wayne and Irondequoit. The winners advance to the NYSPHSAA tournament and the Far West Regional Game. Wayne Eagles vs. NE Douglass Panthers .::. Section V Class A2 Championship on FL1 Sports 3/3/18

Last year’s run to the Section V Class A2 Championship by the Wayne was an improbable one, led by 3 sophomores and a junior, the Eagles captured the first sectional title in school history. This year, the Eagles would take nobody by surprise in the postseason but still proved unstoppable on their way to back-to-back Class A2 championships with a  57-54 win over the NE Douglass Panthers in early game at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester on Saturday.

Wayne Eagles vs. Newark Reds .::. FL1 Sports 2/13/18

The Wayne Eagles can clinch at least a share of the Finger Lakes East title with a win at Newark on Tuesday night. For Newark, it will be Senior Night and Taylor Clements’ last game on his home court. Will Wayne continue to roll or can Newark get a signature win heading into Sectionals? Mynderse Blue Devils vs. Wayne Eagles .::. FL1 Sports 2/6/18

In their first meeting in Seneca Falls, the Wayne Eagles defeated the host Mynderse Blue Devils by three points to take the lead in the Finger Lakes East title race. Now Mynderse (10-1/15-2) will take another shot at Wayne (13-1 / 10-0), this time at the Eagle’s nest in Ontario. Wayne has won 13 in-a-row and hasn’t lost since November 29th. Mynderse is riding a 5 game winning streak and hasn’t lost since they last faced Wayne on January 9th. The defending Section V Class A2 champion Wayne Eagles invade the Arthur L. Baker Gymnasium in Seneca Falls to take on the defending Section V Class B champion Mynderse Blue Devils on Wednesday night. Both teams are undefeated in the Finger Lakes East and tied atop the league standings at 5-0. Wayne enters the game on an eight-game winning streak. Mynderse lost their first game of the season Monday night in double-overtime in Canandaigua and enter the game with a 10-1 record. In the latest Wayne-Finger Lakes FL1 Sports Power Rankings the Eagles are atop the poll at #1 and Mynderse is ranked #2. Jim Sinicropi and Mike Alessio have the call for FL1 Sports…
